In your class' shared doc you can write main ideas / advantages / options of Documents Sharing as well as reflections on Digital Citizenship.

You can create your own Shared document to work collaboratively with your group on Investigation!

Remember it is very important to record your ideas, questions, findings, resources, specifications, concerns, complaints, etc: everything! Please remember to use the Assignment Standards that we have been working on/with.

Let's Investigate:

• What is the problem?


• Related to the AOIs, society and yourself?


• Develop a Design Brief


• Pose the guiding questions for you research


• Answer your questions by researching the topic


• Include references to your sources of info (Bibliography!)


• List the design Specifications (essential & desirable)


• how will you test your product?

Welcome to the second week of school!
Please review the mind map assignment on the Design Cycle you were scheduled to finish and submit/working on last class.

Let's take some time from this class to look into your assignments and make sure that the Assignments standards are included in your mind map as well as follow the instructions on how to submit your Assignments.

Assignments standards:

• Group Members Names
• Grade (eg: Mr Aisthorpe, G8 A4 ~> Grade 8 A day Period 4)
• Assignment title / stage
• Date
• Cite your sources
• Create a Crocodoc account (so I have a reply to email address where to send you my feedback)
• Upload your assignment
• Open your assignment
• Share: EMAIL (option)
• etc

Following what we began last class, pls keep looking into every stage of the design Cycle, to make a mind map showing what "happens" in each stage. Let's continue with Investigation and beyond!

Resources: MYP Technology Website, IB MYP Technology, Design Cycle Graph and Design Cycle Checklist among others that you will need to research!

Work collaboratively in twos to develop a detailed mind map of the Design Cycle.The content in the mind map has to "make sense" and be meaningful to you!

Following our conversations yesterday, this is the first blog post for our G8 MYP Technology class!

Please take some time to browse around the MYP Technology website and find information about:

Last but not least, please read the AUP for 2011-2012 posted in the MYP Technology Docs. Let's go over it together. 

Please, print it at home and bring it back signed by yourself and your parents for Thursday 25.

We have also posted the updated A/B days calendar in the MYP Technology website's home page. You can download a copy for your records, if you would like to.

Following the IB MYP Technology curriculum (Group 8) , we will be using its core tool: Design Cycle.

Please read in detail the information available at the links mentioned above.
